Spices do separate but a shake and all is perfect, I put in a glass containers. I got the 1kg bag , but could have gone for the smallest pack, I find myself now adding a tsp to soup or any stew I make as it gives an underlying taste I just love. Better to fry it first before adding, I got the tiniest frying pan on amazon and it works well, 1/2 a onion and some garlic then add to whatever you have made, I even brushed some on chicken to give it a bit of oomph, sorry not very hot I would even say under medium heat which is excellent as I just add a few chillie flakes to get a kick out of it. 1kg is going to last me a very long time.
